INDIANAPOLIS - The USA Track & Field Foundation
awarded grants to several youth track and field clubs at its
board meeting earlier this month in New York City, USATF
Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic announced
Friday. The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and
guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs
with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth
athletes, emerging elite athletes and anti-doping
education.The following clubs/organizations were awarded
grants:
United Age Group Track Coaches Association (Oreland,
PA) Assistance with youth athlete entry fees to regional
competitions.
Paducah Track Club (Paducah, KY) & uniforms and
travel expenses to youth meets.
East Palo Alto Greyhounds Youth Athletic Association
(East Palo Alto, CA) & travel expenses and equipment.
Linking Arms Track Program (Pensacola, FL) &
uniforms and track shoes for youth track athletes.
The USATF Foundation depends on donations from its
board of directors and from generous fans of track and field.
The Foundation assists people of all ages, all walks of life,
and all ability levels in finding enjoyment and
accomplishment and achieving fitness through our inclusive
sport.
The USATF Foundation is currently accepting applications
